Italian Language Coach
Carmen Grasso had the honor of working at the side of renowned conductor NIKOLAUS HARNONCOURT and his son PHILIPP HARNONCOURT, coaching Italian language for the Mozart opera IDOMENEO at the STYRIARTE FESTIVAL 2008. DVD available!
In March 2010 Carmen Grasso coached Italian language for a performance of baroque opera “Il mese di marzo consecrato a Marte” by the Johann Joseph Fux Conservatory in Graz to celebrate the 350th birthday of Johann Joseph Fux. Artistic director: Dario Luisi.
Carmen Grasso provided Italian language coaching for productions of Mozart’s “Così fan tutte”, “Don Giovanni” and “Le nozze di Figaro” by her colleagues Prof. Christian Poeppelreiter and Prof. Wolfgang Schmid at the University of Performing Arts in Graz and in the CD “KLANG DEBÜTS 29” recording of the MONTEVERDI ensemble, conducted by Franz Jochum.
She has also coached for the KAMMER OPER GRAZ (KOG). Productions: OTTONE IN VILLA (Vivaldi) and IL MONDO DELLA LUNA (Haydn).
German Language Coach
In 2010, Schumann’s 200th birthday, Carmen Grasso coached German diction for the cycle “Frauenliebe und -leben” for the master class of conductor Marco Ozbic at the Conservatory of Music Nicola Sala in Benevento, Italy in collaboration with vocal chamber music under Prof. Patrizia Greco.
